Tottenham Hotspur have to wait until Monday night to try and make amends for their latest defeat.
Spurs have blown hot and cold in recent weeks, to put it mildly.
Tottenham beat Manchester City and thrashed Leeds, but also lost to Burnley and Middlesbrough.
However, Spurs boss Antonio Conte has been handed a significant boost ahead of the Everton game.
Namely, the return of Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.
The 24-year-old picked up an ankle injury at Burnley on 23 February and missed Spurs’ last two games.
However, Conte confirmed on Friday that he and Lucas Moura will be back for the Toffees clash.
And later on in the day, Tottenham shared a training-ground photo that will have surely thrilled the fanbase.
Tottenham’s best displays since the start of the year have been when Bentancur has been in the XI.
In comparison, Spurs have struggled with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Winks in midfield.
The latter was sadly especially disappointing in the FA Cup loss to Boro.
As per SofaScore, Winks did not win a single ground duel (0/6) or aerial duel (0/2) during the game.
He was also dribbled past more times (5) than the rest of the Tottenham players combined.
In addition, Winks lost possession 14 times and gave away some cheap fouls in dangerous areas.
Therefore, Conte is likely to swap the 26-year-old for Bentancur against Everton, slotting him alongside Hojbjerg.
