Tottenham did enough to earn at least a point against Manchester United at Wembley yesterday but came up against a goalkeeper – David de Gea – in inspired form which saw them slip to a 1-0 defeat.
With Son Heung-min heading off on international duty, Moussa Sissoko limping off during the first half and Harry Kane hobbling at the end, there was not much in the way of good news for a Tottenham side on a testing afternoon.

He was unable to stop Marcus Rashford grabbing the goal that eventually won the day, but with a gruelling period of matches coming up, the Belgian international will be absolutely vital to Mauricio Pochettino’s injury ravaged side in the weeks to come.
He is also a hugely popular player with the supporters and many of them took to Twitter to express their pleasure that he is back in the fold – we’ve put together some of the best reactions…
