Tottenham travel to Leicester City on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed they want midfielder Tanguy Ndombele dropped to the bench.
Spurs broke their transfer record in the summer to sign the Frenchman for £53.8million (BBC) from Lyon.
The 22-year-old has had a mixed start to life in North London, with a debut goal against Aston Villa and a promising display against Manchester City marking a strong start.
But a hamstring problem kept him out of the next two league games and halted any momentum.
The central midfielder was given a late cameo in his comeback against Crystal Palace last weekend, as well as playing an hour in midweek after starting against Olympiacos in the Champions League.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media feel that Ndombele should be withdrawn from the starting XI though against Leicester.
Mauricio Pochettino has a big decision as manager to make over his setup in the centre of the park, with some suggesting Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko as the best combination.
It’s set to be a tricky fixture for Spurs at the King Power Stadium and they need to try win a midfield battle against the likes of Wilfred Ndidi and Youri Tielemans.
Here are some Spurs fans on Ndombele:
Sissoko has to play in this game Ndombele looked off the pace last game. And people saying Lamela instead of Eriksen need to remember the last 2 prem games we dropped Eriksen for Lamela!

Nope. Go for Sissoko and Eriksen in CM. Put Dele at 10.

Nah, he ain’t all that. May well be but I’ve not seen anything to suggest he’s top quality

Thought he was pretty poor midweek tbh, Sissoko & Winks I think should be the pivot
