Tottenham host RB Leipzig on Wednesday night in Europe – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have claimed they want to see Giovani Lo Celso recalled to the starting XI.
Spurs play German opposition Leipzig at home in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie, with the second leg taking place on 10 March.
Jose Mourinho’s side go into the contest fresh off the back of a serious injury blow, with attacker Heung-Min Son joining teammate Harry Kane on the sidelines through injury.
It leaves the North London club seriously short of attacking options and manager Jose Mourinho will need to try get the most out of his available squad.
Spurs have won three consecutive games across all competitions to help build some momentum and last year they went all the way to the Champions League final.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Lo Celso should be back in the starting line up in midweek.
He was absent through injury in the cup against Southampton, but came off the bench at the weekend to play in the 3-2 away win in the league over Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old creative midfielder had started to really blossom in the side on a regular basis before his injury setback and is in contention to face Leipzig.
Here are some Spurs fans on Lo Celso:
Team for Leipzig

Ndomeble and Lo Celso are certainties to be able to beat the Leipzig press. Gedson could be in with a shout at starting.

I’d drop dele against Leipzig and play Lo Celso in his role. Have Ndombele and Dier/winks behind

I’d go to a 3 at the back against Leipzig who play very centrally, Push Aurier up the field a bit and bring in Tanganga. Lo Celso in for Dele and Ndombele in for Lucas. pic.twitter.com/GYZXX6BNbn

Lo Celso will 100% start, RBL have been exposed by deep lying playmakers due to their lack of DMs

We can’t put one of our better performing players back on the right. Lo Celso must start in midfield.

Was quietly impressed with Dier. Good use of the ball. Would like to see him and Lo Celso start on Wednesday
