Tottenham take on Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennais in their first Europa Conference League group game – and want Dilan Markanday to start.
Tottenham qualified for the group stages after overcoming a first-leg defeat to Portuguese outfit Pacos de Ferreira. Harry Kane notched a brace.
Now, they face Rennes, Slovenian side NS Mura and Dutch Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem. Nuno Espirito Santo is likely to rotate his squad.
But without a back-up striker for Harry Kane, Spurs may have to delve into their academy side – if they want to rest the England skipper.
Dane Scarlett is the obvious choice is Kane was to be rested – but there is another forward currently shining in the Tottenham Under-23 side.

Tottenham v Rennes: Fans want Markanday start
Markanday, 20, has been previously used as a winger – and is awaiting his senior debut. But he has been changed to a centre-forward this season.
It has paid off. He has already netted four goals in four games for the second string, all coming in three Premier League 2 outings for Spurs.
Not only that, but Markanday has also laid on two assists in an EFL Trophy clash against Stevenage. He is on fire, and his form deserves a call-up.
Tottenham fans have urged Nuno to consider Markanday for his selection tonight. Although it is unlikely, many would love to see him make his debut.
