Tottenham fans want AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo signed after reports

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing AS Roma wonderkid Nicolo Zaniolo as he continues to shine for the Serie A giants – and Spurs fans are desperate to see him signed.

The Daily Express claimed over the weekend that Tottenham want to sign the 20-year-old attacker, who is in stunning form this season. He is showing quality expected of someone well beyond his age.

Zaniolo has scored five goals from midfield this season, as well as offering versatility. The former Inter Milan youth player can play in attacking midfield or on either flank. He has now clocked up 53 senior appearances for Roma, scoring 11 times.

But it his form over the past 12 months that has caught the eye. Indeed, Roberto Mancini has made him a regular part of his Italy side, and Zaniolo repaid him in the last international break – scoring twice in his fifth cap during a 9-1 win over Armentia.

Spurs do have plenty of options but they are reportedly tracking Zaniolo as a long-term replacement for Eriksen. It is believed that Daniel Levy does have competition for Zaniolo as January dawns, with Manchester United and PSG also keen.

Tottenham fans reacted to the reported news on Twitter that their club are eyeing Roma’s Zaniolo, and some are delighted that their club could raid one of Italy’s best sides for their star asset. Leggo claim he is rated at £68.7million.
