Tottenham Hotspur play arguably one of the biggest games in their club’s history as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the Champions League against Ajax on Wednesday night – and fans want Fernando Llorente recalled.
Spurs suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ajax last week at their new ground, with Donny van de Beek scoring the only goal from close range as Ajax sprang the offside trap.
The north Londoners simply could not break down Ajax, with Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Erik Lamela all missing from Spurs’ attack. Mauricio Pochettino only had defensive players on the bench.
But this time around, Lamela and Son are available to play after the latter overcame a suspension while Lamela has shaken off a hamstring injury. The Argentine has been training ahead of the match and is likely to feature.

Llorente did start last time out and saw out the entire 90 minutes but he did not get the service or creativity Spurs needed to score. He did show some nice touches and worked hard.
With the score only at 1-0, Pochettino must get his tactics right and give Spurs every chance of overturning the aggregate score to set up an all-English Champions League final against Liverpool.
Llorente was an unused substitute on Saturday as Spurs lost to Bournemouth, but Tottenham fans are desperate to see the 2010 World Cup winner recalled to the starting line-up against Ajax.
