Juan Foyth has finally returned from injury after featuring for Argentina in the international break and coming on as a substitute against Red Star Belgrade – and now Tottenham fans want his first start of the season to come on Sunday.
Foyth, 21, had been sidelined with an ankle injury for the entire campaign. He returned to training and immediately jetted off on international duty with Argentina, despite making a single appearance for Tottenham’s senior team this term.
He started games against Germany in a 2-2 draw and a 6-1 victory over Ecuador. Getting almost 180 minutes under his belt saw Mauricio Pochettino choose to rest Foyth on Saturday as Spurs failed to overcome Watford.

But after coming off the bench to play 17 minutes at centre-back during the 5-0 demolition of Red Star, Tottenham fans are now desperate for Foyth to start in the defence – but they cannot decide where they want to see Foyth appear.
Since his £10milllion move from Estudiantes (ESPN), some of Foyth’s 26 senior appearances for Spurs have come from the right side of the defence after being converted into a makeshift right-back by Pochettino. He is naturally a centre-back.
Serge Aurier continues to get pelters despite a superb display on Tuesday while fans believe Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are past it. Fans want Foyth to start, but they cannot work out if they want him at right-back or centre-back.
