Tottenham Hotspur fans were left very impressed with one of their key players against Manchester City and are backing him to have a great career in North London.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Man City, but there were still some solid individual performances for the hosts.

Ange Postecoglou’s focus appears to now be on the Europa League given the fact he rested several key players like Dejan Kulusevski, Son Heung-min and Djed Spence.

But despite being on the wrong end of the result, Spurs supporters were in agreement over one of their player’s performances.

Tottenham fans laud the signing of Kevin Danso

Despite their defeat to Manchester City, Tottenham fans have been left so impressed by yet another solid performance from Kevin Danso.

The defender has seriously impressed in North London since making his £21m move from Lens during the January transfer window.

Offensively, Tottenham were pretty lacklustre against the champions, however, they managed to give up very few chances with Danso and Archie Gray standing firm.

Following the defeat at home to City, Spurs supporters have taken to X to share their application for the arrival of Danso.

One fan said: “Kevin Danso is a great player. He is quick, reliable and has a very interesting game with the ball at his feet. He was a great signing for Tottenham this season and a surprise for Postecoglu’s team.

Another supporter claimed: “Danso’s had some iffy moments but you have to respect the guy tackling and dribbling out after being kneed in the head. What a guy, he’s grown on me already.”

There was yet more praise for Danso’s display: “I know Spurs are losing but Danso has been decent again today.”

“Danso is playing like super Jan (Vertonghen) tonight. Second half, what an improvement,” concluded another fan.

Kevin Danso once again shows his ability on the ball

Danso produced another display where he impressed with his ability in possession as he managed more touches and completed more passes than any other player on the pitch.

Tottenham fans think Danso is a great fit for Postecoglou’s team given how good the Austrian defender looks on the ball and he proved that again versus City.
