Tottenham defender Juan Foyth completed 90 minutes for Argentina on Friday night in an international friendly – and many of the club’s supporters blasted him for his performance.
The 21-year-old earned just his second senior cap for the South American giants, but ended up losing 3-1 against Venezuela.
Foyth was at fault for giving away a penalty in the second-half that allowed Venezuela to net a third of the game and claim the win.
The centre-back had a difficult match against Newcastle United’s Salomon Rondon, who did score with a thunderous half-volley.

A selection of Spurs fans on social media were highly critical of Foyth following his international display and believe he’s full of mistakes.
The ball-playing defender is excellent at building out from the back and has a lot of confidence for a youngster.
But has been let down a few times this season with a lack of discipline when defending in his own box and his rashness crept up once again, but this time in an Argentina shirt.
Foyth is still in the first-team plans of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and has made 11 senior appearances this campaign at club level.
But he will have to mature quickly if he wants more regular football and for now is a promising talent.
Here are some of the Spurs fans ripping into Foyth:
