A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to slam Christian Eriksen after the Dane put in another lacklustre performance for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Spurs continue to look for their first Premier League win since September. Dele Alli’s goal looked set to settle the contest. But Cenk Tosun scored during the 12 minutes of stoppage-time to ensure that the points were shared.
The second-half had looked set to be defined by two VAR decisions. Alli was not penalised after the ball hit his arm from an Everton corner. Spurs themselves, felt aggrieved earlier in the half when Son Heung-min went down after a challenge from Yerry Mina and the officials decided not to award a penalty.
Of course, the game was overshadowed by the horrific injury suffered by Andre Gomes. The incident saw a devastated and inconsolable Son sent off and Gomes stretchered off while being given oxygen.
The remaining minutes of the game were certainly played under a cloud. But Everton managed to come back and find an equaliser with Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin battling each other to find the back of the net.
And after the game, plenty of Tottenham supporters took to social media to slam Eriksen’s performance. They felt that he offered very little and did not justify being named in the team.
The 27-year-old has scored one goal and provided one assist in the Premier League this year. And the supporters appear to beyond tired of his below-par form. Pochettino was also slammed for not bringing the playmaker off before the 101st minute.

We’re already at 10 men with Eriksen on. Now we’re down to 9.

Not sure how Eriksen has lasted the 90 mins, been poor all game

Lo Celso has to start ahead of Eriksen moving forward. Done more in 5 minutes than Eriksen has in the last two matches

How has Eriksen lasted the whole game. Give his minutes to some that cares. Sessengnon could have come on and got some minutes for match fitness but the deluded mind of Pochettino thinks plays get fit through just being on the training ground

Genuinely in hysterics that it’s taken Pochettino 101 minutes to get Eriksen off.

Absolute joke that Eriksen stayed on that pitch for over 100 mins! What does he have over Poch to keep playing games, absolutely dreadful yet again. May as well have had 10 men from the start #EVETOT
