Davinson Sanchez has admitted he’s got plenty to improve on as a player at Tottenham – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have got behind him and are confident in his abilities.

The 23-year-old centre-back has had a difficult individual season so far where he’s been nowhere near his best and is not always a regular starter.

He’s played eight games across all competitions so far this term and only experienced two victories in that time.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are still yet to hit top gear this campaign and it won’t get any easier when they travel to Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League.

The experienced Belgian pair of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld have been a successful centre-back combination for many years, but that may be coming to an end.

Sanchez has shown that he is an athletic defender that can play at the top level, but still lacks a little bit of composure and needs to find consistency.

The Colombia international has made an admission about his own form and is keen to make improvements.

“There are many things to improve. I’m not nearly a perfect player, that’s why I need to keep going,” Sanchez told the Evening Standard.

The South American defender needs to try cement his spot in the XI like at the beginning of the season and really kick on.
