Tottenham were beaten by Burnley on Saturday afternoon at Turf Moor – and many of the club’s fans on Twitter were highly critical of midfielder Christian Eriksen for his performance.
Spurs saw their Premier League title bid go up in flames, as they were defeated 2-1 due to goals from Burnley strikers Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes.
Harry Kane did mark his return from injury with a second-half goal, but he ended up on the losing side and they remain five points adrift of the Premier League top two.
Spurs weren’t at their fluent best offensively and struggled to create too many goalscoring opportunities, while they were tested physically by their opponents.

A selection of Spurs fans on social media discussed Eriksen’s contribution in the match and feel he dipped well below his usual standards.
The 27-year-old midfielder maintained his ever-present role in the team, but offered very little going forward and couldn’t provide the creative spark he usually can.
He’s been a key player for the North London club so far this campaign, but did struggle to enforce himself against a physical Burnley outfit.
