Tottenham’s Paulo Gazzaniga is reportedly attracting interest from Fulham – and some Spurs fans on Twitter have urged the club not to sell their goalkeeper and feel it would be a mistake.

The Telegraph reports that the 28-year-old is now on the transfer radar of Fulham, who are preparing for life back in the Premier League after winning the Championship play-off final last season.

It is understood that Fulham boss Scott Parker is prepared to make a move for the shot-stopper in an attempt to bring him across London to Craven Cottage, as he looks to add top-flight experience to his group of players.

Gazzaniga has been in English football since joining Southampton back in 2012 and he completed a switch to Spurs in 2017.

The one-time capped Argentina international has proven himself to be a strong understudy to Hugo Lloris at Spurs and he’s a commanding presence in his penalty area that also has great reflexes.

Despite being a number two at Spurs, he’s shown his quality on both the Premier League and Champions League stage before, which has seen Fulham circle for his signature.

With English goalkeeper Joe Hart already joining Jose Mourinho’s squad this summer, it looks like there is real stiff competition in that area of the pitch for the upcoming campaign.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are adamant that offloading Gazzaniga would be an error and hope he remains as Lloris’ main understudy.
