Fernando Llorente has posted on Twitter ahead of Napoli’s Champions League clash with Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night – and Tottenham fans have reacted to his post.
Llorente, 34, left Tottenham after two seasons with the north Londoners. He scored 13 goals in 66 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino, though 45 of those matches did come from the substitutes bench. He completed 90 minutes just eight times.
His contract at Tottenham expired in the summer and he joined Napoli, despite scoring a crucial goal against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final before proving to be crucial in the semi-final comeback against Ajax.
The Spain international has since scored three goals for Carlo Ancelotti’s side as he continues to be used as a back-up striker, who makes plenty of substitute appearances. One of those came against Liverpool, and he has posted on Twitter.

Liverpool have nearly confirmed their place in the knockout stages of the competition, as they sit top of Group E after four games. The reds are on nine points, one ahead of Wednesday’s opponents Napoli.
Tottenham, meanwhile, sit behind Bayern and will need to beat Olympiacos on Tuesday. Spurs fans reacted to Llorente’s Tweet which sees him pose next to Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret. Some want him back at Spurs, while others ordered him to score against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
