Tottenham fans react to their reported interest in Jannik Vestergaard

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Southampton’s Jannik Vestergaard – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have given an excited response to the recent links.

Vestergaard, who has been at St Mary’s since 2018, is a key figure in defence for Premier League rivals Southampton.

The Mirror reported on Saturday that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho is weighing up a possible move to try since the 28-year-old in the upcoming summer window.

It is stated that the centre-back may be available for a “bargain”, as his contract at Southampton set to expire in 2022 right now.

The Denmark international is a commanding presence in the heart of the Saints defence, with his heading, aggressive tackling and leadership.

If you were searching for a modern centre-half, he’d also tick a lot of boxes in the sense that he’s so comfortable on the ball and is a great long-range passer.

He’s had a few years now adjusting to English football, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens with his immediate future.
