Tottenham youngster Samuel Shashoua has completed a move to Spanish outfit CD Tenerife – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter seem slightly disappointed with his permanent exit.
Spurs have confirmed (official website) that they have reached an agreement for the 20-year-old to join Tenerife, who play in the second-tier of Spanish football.
He’s come through the academy of the North London club, but now completed a move away in pursuit of first-team football.
The attacker spent last season in the Spanish third-tier with Atletico Baleares, where he scored six goals and supplied five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
Shashoua failed to make a single senior appearance for Spurs, but was named on the bench against Leicester City in a Premier League fixture on the final day of the 2016/17 campaign.
The left-winger has seen a number of players at Spurs rise from the academy into Mauricio Pochettino’s team, but he’s not been able to follow that path.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media are a little surprise that Shashoua has now departed on a permanent basis and feel he has does have potential to become a decent player in the future.
There are a number of quality wide players currently occupying a spot in the club’s first-team squad, so from a personal view a move makes sense.
