Tottenham fans react to Ryan Sessegnon’s performance in win over Middlesbrough

Tottenham overcame Middlesbrough at the second time of asking in their FA Cup third round replay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last night.

Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela sealed the victory for Jose Mourinho’s men and the Portuguese will hope that gives his side a much-needed confidence boost.

Spurs are battling injuries but fielded a strong side and kept alive what is likely their most realistic hope of a trophy this season.

Ryan Sessegnon is a player who has taken some time to get going at Spurs, but seems to be growing in confidence and plenty of fans were impressed with his display on Twitter.

Sessegnon hasn’t had too much game time as a winger, slotting in at left back mostly given Ben Davies’ absence.

The supporters online thought he played well last night, although some felt he could still have more confidence and drive when trying to beat his man.

He is now coming into his own and finding form and fitness, beginning to impress supporters. He may well get more chances on the wing in the coming weeks with Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min likely to be moved off the flanks into a more central role in the absence of Harry Kane.
