Ryan Sessegnon played the full game for England’s Under-21s on Tuesday night – and some Tottenham fans on Twitter were majorly impressed with his performance.
Sessegnon, 20, has been loaned out by Spurs this season to Hoffenheim, but supporters kept a close eye on him during his international display.
The left-footed speed machine played an important role for England’s youth team, as they overcame Turkey 2-1 in a European Under-21 Championship qualifier that was played at Molineux.
His attempted cross in the 17th minute was deflected into the net for an own goal by Huseyin Turkmen, but it was one of several occasions that he was a real threat down the left wing and he regularly got past the opposition’s backline.
Eddie Nketiah added a crucial second in the 88th minute of the contest to secure the win before a late Turkey consolation, which incidentally makes the Arsenal centre-forward the all time leading goalscorer for England’s Under-21s.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media were impressed by Sessegnon for his contribution on the international stage:
The wide player has been loaned out to German top-flight club Hoffenheim for the season and the Bundesliga has helped some young English talents thrive in previous years, which is a pattern Spurs boss Jose Mourinho will hope continues.
Despite joining from Fulham last summer, the highly-rated talent played just 12 first-team games last season across all competitions and a loan move looks a good decision for all parties involved.
He’s got the versatility to play in a left-back position, but was used further forward by Young Lions boss Aidy Boothroyd on Tuesday night and it suited him.
