AC Milan are eyeing a sensational move to potentially make Mauricio Pochettino their new manager.

Rossoneri chief Ivan Gazidis, formerly of Arsenal of course, has placed the Tottenham Hotspur boss at the top of his shortlist, as reported by Corriere dello Sport.

Fourth-placed Milan are chasing Champions League qualification and the pressure is on Gennaro Gattuso to deliver, with the club having been absent from the competition since 2014.

Should the Italian legend fail to secure entry to the competition for 2019/2020, then he could well lose his job.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reported as a secondary target, but Pochettino is viewed as the more realistic option.

The Mirror claim the Argentine would be handed a £300 million warchest at San Siro, something he certainly would not get staying at Tottenham.

Spurs fans may have thought their manager’s name might have been absent from the headlines for while, with Manchester United and Real Madrid both appointing new managers in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Zinedine Zidane.
