Hugo Lloris cost Tottenham the share of the spoils that their second half performance deserved at Anfield on Sunday.
His awful late error saw Toby Alderweireld put through his own net and continued a season in which he has contrived to go from World Cup winning captain to genuine liability for Spurs.
He has made errors in Champions League ties against Barcelona and PSV, as well as failing to take command of the situation when another of his team-mates, Kieran Trippier, scored a high profile own goal earlier this year against Chelsea.
For a senior player at Spurs – the captain – to be costing his side at vital times undermines Mauricio Pochettino’s attempts to take Tottenham forward.

But despite that, the Daily Mail report that Spurs are not planning to sign a replacement goalkeeper to upgrade on the Frenchman, who Spotrac claim earns £100,000 per week.
And that has not gone down particularly well with some Spurs fans on Twitter, who are clearly running low on patience with Lloris and we’ve put together the best of their reaction to the report…
