Mauricio Pochettino reportedly had the chance to use Christian Eriksen in a swap deal but refused. According to The Daily Mail, Pochettino turned down the opportunity to swap Eriksen for Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
Eriksen has been a long-term Juventus target and has made it clear that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur. The Denmark midfielder only has one year left on his contract so his value will dip after the European window shuts.

While the Premier League window was still open, Tottenham tried to sign Dybala. The Argentina striker was a major target on deadline day but this fell through. However, it turns out there could have been another way to sign him.
If this report is accurate, Spurs and Juventus were mulling over a swap deal. This would have seen Dybala move to North London with Eriksen heading to the Serie A club in exchange.
Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to share their disappointment at this report. Here are some tweets from Spurs supporters who believe Pochettino made a mistake if this report is true.
