Tottenham fans react to reports suggesting Serge Aurier wants to leave

Serge Aurier reportedly wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur. According to The Daily Mail, Aurier is angling for a Tottenham exit before the European transfer deadline with two clubs keen.

AC Milan will battle Paris Saint-Germain for the Spurs right-back. AC Milan want to bolster their options to improve upon their position in Serie A and compete in Europe.

Meanwhile, PSG – who sold Aurier to Spurs in 2017 – want the defender back. The Ivory Coast international enjoyed plenty of success in the French capital after spells with Lens and Toulouse.

A return to Ligue 1 could be on the cards if Tottenham allow Aurier to leave. But Tottenham fans have been discussing this and the opinions are split down the middle.

On one hand, some Spurs fans argue that Aurier has not lived up to expectations in North London. The 26-year-old cost £23m (Mail) but has only ever been a back-up option.

But others point out that Kieran Trippier has already left to join Atletico Madrid this summer. This leaves Kyle Walker-Peters and Aurier competing for the right-back spot. Juan Foyth can fill in there but is currently injured.
