Tottenham have reportedly made an approach for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have reacted extremely positively to the speculation.
Goal reports that Jose Mourinho’s side have made contact for the Frenchman, as they look to fill the void left by Harry Kane’s injury.
It is understood that Spurs are battling Chelsea for the signature of Dembele and are looking to prize him away from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon.
The report explains that the French club want to keep hold of their 23-year-old and there has been no offer for him as it stands.
With Kane out of action until action, Dembele has popped up as a potential target for Spurs in January and he previously played in England with Fulham.
The centre-forward really rose to fame for his 51 goals in 94 games for Celtic, before he made the switch to Lyon in 2018
He’s netted 13 goals so far this season in all competitions and is someone that is on the rise.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Dembele is exactly the type of target the club need to sign in January.
The France Under-21 international is a striker with pace and power, so should be ready for another crack in English football.
