Manchester City are reportedly lining up a move for Tottenham’s Harry Winks – and some Spurs fans on Twitter have responded by urging the club not to make the mistake of selling him.
The Sun claims that Premier League rivals Man City are considering a £40million raid for the midfielder, who is believed to be he seriously admired by their manager Pep Guardiola.
It is reported that Spurs may allow the England international to leave if an offer in excess of £40million arrives for him, as manager Jose Mourinho knows he may need to raise funds if he wants to make any more big signings.
Winks, 24, has become an important senior player at Spurs in the last few seasons and is renowned for his quality in possession, as he’s a great passer of the ball and is a strong dribbler too.

With Winks linked with a potential exit this summer, a selection of of Spurs supporters on social media have responded by insisting that he stays with them.
The energetic central midfielder has come through the academy system to the club’s first team and made 41 appearances across all competitions last season, which included him wearing the captain’s armband in the Premier League against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
