Tottenham are reportedly keen on a potential raid for West Ham’s Issa Diop – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are pleased with the speculation.
Sky Sports has claimed that the French defender is wanted by Spurs, as he’s seen as someone that can succeed Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld in the future.
It is believed though that West Ham don’t want to lose their centre-back and that his valuation is over £50million.
Diop is a powerhouse defender that has previously earned praise from current Spurs boss Jose Mourinho and he could look to take him to North London.
The 22-year-old is extremely athletic, he reads the game well, and has proven himself already in English football.
He’s been an ever-present in the starting XI for Manuel Pellegrini’s team at the London Stadium and has a lot of potential to improve.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Diop is a great target for them to pursue and feel that he would make a difference.
It would take an enormous transfer fee to take him away from the London Stadium, but they did show ambition in the last transfer window.
