Tottenham are among the Premier League clubs chasing Rennes’ teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
They report that Spurs face competition from north London rivals Arsenal as well as Premier League champions Manchester City for a player who was man of the match against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
The report also says that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are in the hunt for the 16-year-old, but Spurs had him in their sights last summer.
Camavinga has the talent to have a very bright future, and while plenty can happen in a young player’s development, some Tottenham fans have been getting excited online over the links.
Tottenham are generally not in the market for superstars – they want the next young talent coming through, who they can develop – so this one could be another ideal swoop for Mauricio Pochettino.
Some supporters worry that he won’t get over the line due to the strong competition, but there is plenty of excitement about perhaps the fact he could come in during the January transfer window.
The summer window may have just died down, but transfer planning does not seem to stop and perhaps this one will run and run if the midfielder keeps up his impressive performance level.
I'd buy this kid, Camavinga, without blinking

Watched him on Sunday night and he was outstanding – I think there will be many clubs looking at him, so Tottenham best out their best foot forward to avoid missing out. COYS
