Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is reportedly attracting interest from Napoli and Ajax – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have claimed they would like to see him sold.
The Telegraph reports that Italian side Napoli and Dutch giants Ajax are both eyeing possible moves during this January transfer window for him.
It is understood that the 32-year-old is at a standstill in contract negotiations with Spurs and his current deal expires in the summer.
Despite the fact the Belgium international could be snapped up on a free transfer in the summer, Napoli and Ajax are looking to bring him in midway through this season.
Vertonghen has continued to be a regular in the Spurs team this season and manager Jose Mourinho has kept faith wth him.
But the centre-back has had a few difficult individual displays this term, especially when he’s been required to slot in as an emergency left-back.
He was back in his preferred position on New Year’s Day for the 1-0 loss against Southampton and struggled in the heart of the defence.

Vertonghen is a big favourite at Spurs still after playing 302 games for the North London club, but a selection on social media have admitted it may be time for him to move on this month.
