Tottenham fans react to reported interest in Brentford winger Said Benrahma

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Brentford attacker Said Benrahma – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded with excitement to the speculation.

The Daily Mirror claims that Jose Mourinho’s team are now interested in the left-winger and have joined the race for him.

It is understood that top-flight teams West Ham, Leeds United, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Arsenal are also keen.

The report adds that the £25million-rated man could be available for as little as £16million following Brentford’s defeat in the Championship play-off final to Fulham.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that new target Benrahma could be a success if he joins them ahead of next season and feel he’s a special talent.

Despite failing to earn promotion from the Championship, he was one of the standout individuals in the division by finishing the campaign with 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.

The Algeria international would have strong competition in the wide areas if he completed a move to north London, but he looks ready to take on the Premier League and is deadly in one-on-one situations.

Dele Alli is a shining example for Spurs that players from the lower leagues can make a big impact at the top level and it will be interesting to see if the Brentford man can do the same if he makes the move this summer.
