Tottenham have reportedly been offered Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded to claim they don’t want to sign him in January.
The Telegraph reports that Spurs have been offered the chance to sign the 26-year-old from Spanish giants Barcelona.
Umtiti enjoyed a rise to fame as an important first teamer at Lyon after coming through their academy, before making the switch to Camp Nou in 2016.
The Frenchman was extremely impressive during his first season in La Liga, but has unfortunately had a spate of injuries since then that have derailed his progress.
He is a powerful centre-back that on his day is a nightmare for strikers and is assured on the ball in defence.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media doubt whether Umtiti is still the same player and feel he’s a poor target for the club.
The performance of 20-year-old talent Japhet Tanganga at the weekend for Jose Mourinho’s team has got everyone believing he’s a real option now in the heart of defence.
There is also the likes of Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth, Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen in the squad.
