Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon is reportedly an injury doubt ahead of this weekend – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are gutted by the update.
The 24-year-old suffered a foot injury in the final Spurs game before the international break, which meant he didn’t join up with the Spain squad.
According to Sky Sports, the defender is doubtful for his club’s Premier League fixture away to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.
The report states the left-back is in a race against time to be fit for the trip to St James’ Park, and he’s yet to return to full training despite doing light work.

Reguilon, who joined in the summer from Real Madrid, has made a sizeable impact during his first season at the north London club.
The £68,000-a-week (Salary Sport) speedster is the first-choice option at left-back, but injuries have meant he’s made just 26 appearances across all competitions so far.
With alternative Spurs left-back Ben Davies also sidelined through injury, it could leave manager Jose Mourinho in a tough situation this weekend against Newcastle.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that the full-back’s absence is a massive problem.
The options could be to promote youngster Dennis Cirkin to the senior squad. Alternatively, versatile defender Japhet Tanganga may be an option.
