Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters reportedly has a £12million price tag on his head – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have mocked the valuation by claiming he’s worth far less.

According to the Daily Mail, the Spurs right-back is rated at £12million and wanted by Premier League club Southampton in the January transfer window.

It is understood that Jose Mourinho’s side want to sign a new full-back this month, but may wait for Walker-Peters to potential exit first.

The Sunday People previously reported in its print edition (Page 49, 19 January) that the 22-year-old was hoping to complete a transfer away from North London by next Friday.

It explained that Southampton are joined by top-flight rivals Crystal Palace and Brighton as well in showing an interest in him.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe they are being extremely optimistic by pricing Walker-Peters at £12million and feel he’s worth far less.

The English full-back came through the academy ranks at the club and has played 24 senior games for them in his career.

But he’s only made five appearances across all competitions this season and been frozen out of the picture by manager Mourinho.
