Juventus forward Paulo Dybala and Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku are moving closer to a swap deal, according to Sky Sports News.

They report that the Argentine is set for talks with his new boss Maurizio Sarri before deciding whether to leave Turin and United is now his likeliest destination.

Dybala is still yet to agree terms with United – and will apparently need convincing to move to Old Trafford – but Tottenham appear to have been left for dust.

The Times reported last week that Spurs were lining up a bid for the forward buoyed by a fresh commercial sponsorship deal, and many fans took to Twitter in frustration after the report emerged.

The summer started well with the capture of Tanguy Ndombele, but many supporters feel that Daniel Levy has slipped back to his old tricks in terms of trying to penny-pinch wherever he can.

They feel that has cost Mauricio Pochettino a chance at signing top talent like Dybala, with the likes of United more willing to pay the going rate.
