Tottenham midfielder Josh Onomah is reportedly heading for the exit doors at the North London club – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter believe it’s the right move.
According to the Sun, the 22-year-old is set to leave this summer and manager Mauricio Pochettino has demoted him to the youth setup.
It is understood that a move to Germany looks on the cards with interest from Bundesliga clubs Borussia Monchengladbach, Mainz, Augsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The report explains that the academy graduate has been shocked and surprise to be frozen out by Pochettino.
Onomah was expected to become the next big thing when rising through the youth ranks at Spurs, but he’s played just 32 senior games for the club and regressed in recent years.
He’s failed to set the world alight during loans in the Championship with first Aston Villa and then Sheffield Wednesday last season.
The central midfielder has gone backwards, while the likes of Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp have overtaken him to break into the first-team picture.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media feel that Pochettino is in the right to cast Onomah to one side and are backing his potential exit this summer.
Here are some Spurs fans commenting on Onomah:
He’s nowhere near good enough for us

Shame for Josh.. Enfield boy.. but he’s simply not good enough.. hasn’t climbed that ladder.. Shame but that’s wot it is .

He shouldn’t be that shocked & stunned – every time I saw him given a chance in the first team he wandered around not looking bothered in the slightest. If that was me, given 20 minutes, I’d be busting a gut all over the pitch…

Shocked? Because he’s been so phenomenal in the Championship? I like Josh but it is time to move on for his own sake.

I would have been more shocked if he was actually in the squad. Nowhere good enough for us , would be ideal for championship or league one

He couldn’t even get in the Sheffield Wednesday starting eleven, how would he ever get in to ours!?
