Tottenham are willing to break their transfer record twice this summer in pursuit of Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele, according to the Daily Mirror.
They report that Daniel Levy is finally ready to splash out in the current window after two windows without a signing and the midfield duo are admired by Mauricio Pochettino.
But the report also says that Levy will not be held to ransom over the fees for the two players and he remains determined to drive a hard bargain.
The biggest issues with that approach are that it can see Tottenham miss out on players altogether and if they do get them, they come too late to be integrated into the club’s pre-season plans.

And Spurs fans have seen Levy’s approach up close for years – many took to Twitter to bemoan the fact that he is still not willing to pay top dollar and feel that’ll see them miss out on the pair.
They think they’ve seen this one before and aren’t getting their hopes up after the latest update – we’ve put together the best of the reaction…
