A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to laud Marcel Lavinier after he posted a clip showing his stunning assist in the under-23s’ win over Everton this month.
Lavinier has only featured once for Spurs’ first-team. But he has been a stalwart for the under-23s, seeing out 90 minutes in their last four Premier League 2 games.

The latest appearance came as Tottenham beat the Toffees 4-0 late last week. Jack Clarke, Dilan Markanday, Harvey White and Malachi Fagan-Walcott scored the four goals for the home side.
But one of the most impressive moments from the game came from Lavinier, who provided the assist for White.

The 20-year-old received the ball on the edge of the defensive third. He then proceeded to run all the way to the edge of the Everton penalty area before sliding the ball to White, who found the roof of the net.
It was a superb run from the youngster, who beat several Toffees players on his way to setting up White.
The right-back position has been problematic for Tottenham in recent years. While Serge Aurier left the club in the summer, Matt Doherty remains on the periphery of Antonio Conte’s squad.

Plenty have lauded the starlet after he posted a clip of the assist on social media. Many are adamant that he is destined for more chances in the first-team.
