Tottenham fans react to Lyon’s tweet about signing potential Ndombele replacement

Ligue 1 club Lyon have confirmed the signing of midfielder Jean Lucas from Flamengo on their official Twitter website.

The French side have secured the 21-year-old Brazilian central midfield player as their first signing of the summer and posted the news on their official Twitter account too.

And given the speculation over the future of current Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, Tottenham fans have got themselves very excited indeed on Twitter.

They think that Lyon have now signed their replacement for Ndombele pre-emptively and the coast is now clear for the French international to make his move to north London.

Many Spurs fans are absolutely desperate for the Lucas signing to lead to Ndombele’s transfer over to England – which would be the first signing the club has made since Lucas Moura in January 2018.

That lack of transfer action can lead to something close to desperation to see a new arrival, and it’s fair to say that some Spurs fans’ excitement just ramped up a notch…
