Former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is waiting in the wings to replace Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino if the Argentine quits the club.
According to the Sun, Tottenham are becoming increasingly worried that Pochettino will leave the London Stadium, after a poor start to the season which reached its nadir with an EFL Cup penalty shoot-out exit to League Two outfit Colchester on Tuesday.
Apparently Allegri is weighing up his options after taking some time out of football following his Juventus departure and would consider the Spurs job if it became free.
The report also names Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City as another man who has his supporters within Tottenham and his Foxes side saw off Spurs last Saturday 2-1.

In truth, the report is likely just adding to the bluster around Tottenham on the back of a few poor results; Pochettino has put so much into Tottenham that it would be a massive shock for him to just walk away now.
But that hasn’t stopped some Spurs fans discussing the merits of appointing the Italian and the consensus on Twitter appears to be that he would be a good replacement if Pochettino did leave for whatever reason.
