Tottenham are keen on bringing Lyon’s head of recruitment Florian Maurice to the club this summer, according to French outlet L’Equipe.
They report that Maurice is struggling to exert his influence at the Ligue 1 club following the arrival of Brazilian duo Sylvinho and Juninho, as manager and sporting director respectively.
The report says he didn’t have any real say in the arrival of Thiago Mendes, during a summer that has already seen Tanguy Ndombele move to Tottenham.
And Spurs are apparently plotting a second raid of the summer on Lyon, wanting Maurice to follow Ndombele through the door.

And Tottenham need someone to head up their transfer operations, as they seek to become a real force in the transfer market once again after a period of stagnation.
In an era where recruitment is so important, it’s possible for off-field protagonists like Maurice to generate genuine excitement and that’s the case here.
Many Spurs fans are buzzing about the prospect of one of the shrewdest operators in the business potentially coming to their club to help Daniel Levy make the most of the club’s money.
