Spaniard Roberto Martinez has been linked as a possible candidate to be the next full-time Tottenham manager – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have given a big thumbs down to the speculation.
After dismissing Jose Mourinho yesterday, Spurs announced that Ryan Mason will take temporary charge as the interim boss until the end of the season.
However, that has not stopped a flood of reports surfacing about who the long-term replacement to Mourinho will be.
According to the Guardian, there are Spurs officials who admire internatonal boss Martinez.
The report explains that he’s someone that is viewed as a potential candidate for the north London club.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media have made it clear they think the club should avoid him at all costs.
The 47-year-old Spaniard has been in charge of a talented Belgian team since 2016, with his best achievement so far a third-placed finish in the 2018 World Cup.
Additionally, his previous domestic experience in England saw him take charge at Everton, Wigan Athletic and Swansea City.
It’s going to be interesting to see how inexperienced 29-year-old gets on in temporary charge, and perhaps he can throw his name into the conversation if he ends the season strongly, especially if they beat Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final this weekend.
