Tottenham Hotspur supporters were delighted with Jose Mourinho during the summer when he made Ledley King part of his backroom team ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

The 40-year-old is the assistant first-team coach at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and supporters have been discussing the impact he has made on Twitter.

King was an outstanding central defender during a 13-year playing career that was sadly blighted by a string of knee injuries.

Had he not suffered so badly with the fitness problems he would have comfortably collected more than the 21 England caps which he won.

King played 323 times for Tottenham and finished his career as a one-club man; winning the League Cup during the 2007/08 campaign.

The iconic former player is now looking to help Spurs off the pitch as part of Mourinho’s backroom team.

He has helped the team to a lofty league position which has led to many pundits back Tottenham to win the title this season.

Spurs have become solid at the back and it doesn’t seem coincidental that King is now on the books at the club.

With the international break now upon us; supporters have been discussing King’s time at the club as a coach.

Here is what they were saying about King’s return to the club.
