Harry Kane’s fitness has been hit-and-go ahead of today’s League Cup final against Manchester City, however, it appears that the England captain has been given the green light to feature in the squad.
The Telegraph report that the Tottenham attacker has passed a late fitness test after missing Wednesday’s Premier League fixture against Southampton through an ankle injury the 27-year-old attacker sustained in Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Everton. But now it appears that Kane has overcome the worst of it, and is now set to feature in some capacity today for Ryan Mason’s side.

There was uncertainty that Kane would miss out on today’s game entirely given his history with ankle injuries, and for Tottenham supporters on social media, they were buzzing that the Spurs striker is fit for the League Cup final, and that he could be an option against City.
Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say on social media about the late news on Kane’s availability…

Tottenham experienced a similar situation before their UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool two years ago, when Kane was seemingly rushed back from injury so he could start the match.
