Tottenham fans react to international performance of Hugo Lloris

Hugo Lloris suffered a defeat with footballing giants France on Saturday night – but some Tottenham fans on Twitter were still impressed by the performance of their goalkeeper.

France suffered a major shock with a 2-0 away loss against Turkey in a European Championship qualifier.

International captain Lloris conceded first-half goals to Kaan Ayhan and Cengiz Under, but he wasn’t helped by his defence and still pulled off some decent saves.

Didier Deschamps’ team couldn’t even muster a shot on target and it was a bizarre display by the reigning World Cup champions.

Lloris suffered a defeat last weekend in the Champions League final against Liverpool with Spurs and had yet another disappointing night on Saturday.

The 32-year-old shot-stopper has already achieved so much in his international career, but was a part of a shock loss in Turkey.

A selection of Spurs fans believe that Lloris was one of the stronger performers for France in their defeat.

The left-footed goalkeeper has had his question marks throughout the last couple of years and a few individual mistakes have cost him at times.

But he continues to be involved in the big games and is capable of some eye-catching saves when he’s on form.
