After the conclusion of the transfer window, Tottenham return to Premier League action tomorrow when they host newly-promoted Aston Villa.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have finally added to their ranks with midfield reinforcements in the shape of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso as well as Ryan Sessegnon.
The fact that Lo Celso and Sessegnon came in so late – and the latter is carrying on injury over from the summer – means that they may well not feature against Dean Smith’s side.
And Tottenham’s official Twitter account put out the latest injury and suspension news ahead of the season’s opener, with the most notable absentee being Heung-min Son.

He is still suspended from a red card picked up at Bournemouth at the end of last season and given all that has come since then, some supporters forgot that was the case.
Dele Alli and Juan Foyth are also absentees, and all-in-all Spurs fans are not enthused about the update on the state of their squad ahead of the first game of the season.
