Tottenham saw their hopes of finishing in the top four suffer a blow as they lost 2-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Olivier Giroud timed a return to form to perfection, scoring the opening goal against the team who reportedly wanted to sign him in January.
Marcos Alonso made it 2-0 and although Tottenham pulled one back through an Antonio Rudiger own goal, it proved too little, too late.

Jose Mourinho now has a real fight on his hands to secure Champions League football for Tottenham next season.
He is currently operating without a regular striker. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are both out of action for the foreseeable future.
Despite a pretty average performance; one man who has come in for some appreciation is Erik Lamela.
It was the Argentine’s strike that was diverted into the back of the net by an outstretched leg from Rudiger and he largely looked good.
The 27-year-old has made 16 appearances this season, scoring twice. He has struggled with some injury issues and he will hope that a lack of forward options hands him more opportunities.

Lamela could be an ideal option for Mourinho to utilise in the coming weeks and supporters clearly appreciated the winger despite yesterday’s defeat.
