Tottenham fans react to Eddie Howe being on reported shortlist

Eddie Howe is reportedly one of five names on a potential shortlist to replace Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are not happy with the speculation.

According to the Telegraph, current Spurs boss Pochettino is facing a crucial game to save his position away to West Ham after the international break.

His team are 14th in the Premier League table after a shocking start and have seen their form drop off massively from recent years.

It is understood that five possible replacements have been drawn up by the North London club.

The report claims that experienced available duo Max Allegri and Jose Mourinho are on the shortlist.

A selection of Spurs supporters on social media don’t believe that Howe would be the right successor to Pochettino and have doubts over whether or not he’s good enough.

Howe has been on an incredible rise with Bournemouth since he took charge of the club in League One and has seen them climb to the top-flight playing an eye-catching attacking style of football.

The 41-year-old has kept the Cherries in the Premier League for four straight seasons and they currently sit ninth in the table during the international break.

He is still a young manager that is yet to be given a chance at an elite club and it would be a considerable step up if he did takeover from Pochettino.
