Tottenham fans react to claims that Simone Inzaghi could replace Ange Postecoglou with consensus agreed

Regardless of whether Tottenham Hotspur decide to stick with Ange Postecoglou or not, it is always wise for any club to have a shortlist of alternatives in place.

Furthermore, there is no guarantee that things have improve for Tottenham under Postecoglou — as exemplified by Spurs’ successive defeats against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

Fabio Paratici has reportedly advised Daniel Levy to sack Postecoglou and make a move to appoint either one of Simone Inzaghi at the end of the season — with Andoni Ita

Inzaghi, who Thierry Henry called a “genius” is undoubtedly one of the best managers in Europe and while Ange Postecoglou’s job is safe, the 42-year-old would theoretically be a brilliant replacement for him.

Tottenham fans really do not think they will be able to attract Simone Inzaghi to N17.

Tottenham fans react to Simone Inzaghi potentially replacing Ange Postecoglou

One Tottenham questioned why Simone Inzaghi would leave Inter Milan to join a team struggling like Tottenham have this season.

“Inzaghi is a top manager IMO [in my opinion]. But leaving Inter for a relegation battling spurs while he will just fail will ruin his reputation IMO. Yeah, money persuades managers but I don’t know man. He could come here to prove a point but I honestly think the board/players let him down.”

A second Tottenham fan was confident Inzaghi would never head to Spurs as well, saying: “There’s no chance Simone joins us. If this is actually true, then we end up with Marco Silva. It’s over.”

A third Tottenham fan also simply added: “There’s no way Inzaghi will leave Inter for Spurs.”

A fourth Tottenham supporter added that if the club genuinely believe they can attract Simone Inzaghi, they have lost the plot, writing: “THFC execs and press team lost it. First the absurd ‘[Marc] Guehi bid’, now this?! They are insulting the whole fanbase. This is a perfect example: they are completely out of touch with reality, living in some funky alternate VIP world.”

A fifth Spurs fan joked: “Why would Inzaghi come to Daniel Levy? He seems like a sensible man to me.”

Tottenham fans rate Simone Inzaghi very highly

However, Tottenham fans are huge admirers of Simone Inzaghi, with one that Inzaghi is the best in the business, writing: “Best manager in the world for me.”

He added: “Has improved players by reinventing their positions like [Hakan] Calhanoglou etc. Plays really innovative football too.”

A second Spurs supporter claimed that he would take Simone Inzaghi in a heartbeat: “I would take Inzaghi over almost every manager in the world. Such an underrated coach and tactician.”

A third Tottenham fan also added: “Inzaghi currently is the best manager in the world. Would take him in a heartbeat”, with the Serie A winner clearly welcome to head to North London if he agrees to a move.
