Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen lost possession on 22 occasions against Olympiacos, according to Squawka. This tally was the worst on the pitch as Tottenham drew 2-2 in Greece.
Spurs were 2-0 up in the first-half as Harry Kane and Lucas Moura scored against the run of play. But Olympiacos roared back with two unanswered goals either side of the break. It was a disappointing result for Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino will be frustrated.
One of the most frustrating parts of Wednesday night’s match was the performance of Eriksen. The 27-year-old, who is out of contract next summer and heavily linked with an exit, was a passenger in midfield.
The Denmark star usually inspires Tottenham in matches like this, producing that one killer pass. But his poor form continued and he lost the ball a staggering 22 times; nearly once every four minutes.
Many Tottenham fans flocked to social media to discuss Eriksen’s showing against Olympiacos. Fans were already furious with his performance but this statistic further highlights just how poor he was on Wednesday night.
Sell him Jan. Clearly doesn’t want to sign a new contract and will leave for free to Juve in the summer otherwise.

Hard to argue that wasn’t his worst performance ever for us.

If they don’t want to play for the team sell them … We are tired we don’t see Liverpool or man city players saying all this rubbish that they want to leave …

Clearly doesn’t want to be there anymore, drop him, make him train with the B-team and move on. COYS!
