Tottenham fans react to Champions League group stage draw

Tottenham reached the final of the Champions League last season and yesterday they learned their first three opponents in their way as they seek to go one better this time around.

The group stage draw pitted Spurs up against Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Red Star Belgrade as they will hope to get into the knockout stages with slightly less fuss than last time around.

Last year, they were on just one point in their group with Barcelona, Inter and PSV, before staging a huge comeback to keep their dreams alive.

This season, the group looks more straight-forward on paper, but the trips to Greece and Serbia will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination – Liverpool lost to Red Star just last season.

The supporters were happy to have avoided yet another group of death – they have shared an group with Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the past – yesterday and confidence is high they can make it through.

Tottenham can not afford to take it lightly with those tricky away ties as well as a meeting with a genuine European heavyweight, but Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to make sure his side are on top form as they look to go one better on the continent this time around.
