A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s performance as Spurs produced a stunning display to win 6-1 against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
It is easy to forget that Jose Mourinho’s men made an awful start to Sunday’s game. Davinson Sanchez gave away a penalty inside the first minute. But Spurs responded in an incredible manner.

They were 4-1 up at the break. And they added a fifth shortly after the interval. That goal came from a superb assist from Hojbjerg, who slid the ball through to Serge Aurier. The right-back took full advantage with a brilliant finish.
But it was Hojbjerg’s overall performance that impressed the Tottenham fans on social media. He has bounced back from an underwhelming debut with some outstanding performances.

And the best of the lot seemed to come on Sunday. He was excellent in the middle of the park, dictating play and using his vision to create opportunities.
As shown by Whoscored.com, no Tottenham player made anywhere near the same number of successful passes as Hojbjerg. He brought up his century in stoppage-time. He also managed a couple of successful challenges.
‘Getting better and better’
It certainly seemed to be a display that highlighted exactly why Mourinho wanted the former Southampton captain in the first place. And it is a win that Tottenham supporters will talk about for a very long time.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to Hojbjerg’s superb performance…
